After this I swear I am never drawing her with her hair down again. (Already has several ideas in mind for her hair down). >< You ever had that sketch that you got a bitttt carried away with. Yeah.. Took a bit longer than I thought. But man, that is a lot of hair. This was supposed to be a summer theme picture but I'm a little late for that. Guess I need to do a fall one now.
Ok this really doesn't come into the timeline much but I couldn't resist the idea of the crow and the mermaid hanging out together. So maybe this time Carmyne slipped away for a little dip a good ways off shore (because she can make time with a tail) and maybe a grumpy black bird was the first to find the giant red spot in a blue ocean. Maybe he could be convinced to take a short nap before reporting in. XD
I think I'm having water/swimsuit urges for the little water witch. Not that I think Qrow would mind at all.

0_0 whoa. I feel like that one guy from Tangled. "That's a lotta hair." It surprised me a lot that she use to be or is actually a mermaid. That's a really cool concept! 
Since there are so many types of Faunis characters in RWBY it could be very possible mermaids exist in that world.
Anyway, the idea aside, the shading and coloring in this picture is stunning The feathers on Qrow's bird form, how her tail is drawn, the many lines and shades you put in the detail of that long hairstyle (It's beautiful but man I can see why she keeps it in the way she normally does. Having that much loose hair would be a pain in the butt to handle! Let alone drawing it
